Our
client is currently seeking a project and exploration oriented
community relations officer to join their community relations team in
East Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with local communities and external stakeholders surrounding exploration projects
- Report to the Director of Environment and Community Relations
- Work closely with team to roll out the CR Management System
- Communicate with stakeholders, authorities, media and civil society alongside relevant managers
- Promote the CR function across all organizational levels
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification: sociology, community development, regional planning, conflict resolution
- Previous expat experience
- At least 7 years’ experience in a managerial role dealing with community relations specifically
- Absolute fluency in English writing and speaking; Kiswahili beneficial
- High computer literacy
