Introduction
The company is one of the most well-known investment banking groups operating across Africa. They require a mature candidate with a strong personality to take full responsibility for the compliance management across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for compliance across the Group
- Development and implementation of appropriate policies, procedures and controls
- Providing legal & regulatory advice
- Identify, manage, resolve &escalate regulatory and reputational risk issues
- Conduct compliance training
- A relevant graduate qualification (BA LLB, BProc or similar – Bcom LLB is preferred)
- JSE Compliance Officer’s Examination will be advantageous
- Experience working within compliance / legal within the financial sector is essential
- At least 8 years of work experience, 5 of this in a senior compliance / legal role
- Experience of the African continent would receive strong preference
- South African citizen preferred
