Senior Plant Metallurgist – East Africa
Our
client is currently seeking a senior plant metallurgist to oversee the
testing, design and commissioning of the plant for their operations in
East Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor plant test work
- Commissioning planning as well as result inspection
- Ensuring plant optimization
- Draw up budget estimations
- Manage plant activities and personnel and communicate with supervisors, owners and contractors
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or diploma in metallurgy/chemical engineering
- At least 12 years’ experience in the mining industry; 5 of which must be in a managerial/senior role
- Previous experience in copper flotation as well as gold
- High- level mathematics, IT skills and HSE/SHE/OHS knowledge
- Proven leadership skills
Contractual Information:
- 2 year contracts with option to renew
- Single status role
- FIFO rotation
